I fast Monday and Tuesday for the following benefits:
- Helps detox my body
- Helps with insulin resistance which is a major disruptor in all kinds of health degradation including cancer
- Reduces overall inflammation in the body. Constant inflammation causes major diseases including cancer, diabetes, cardio etc.
- Has helped launched my intermittent fasting for good. I eat twice a day instead of three times a day. Also I have stopped eating snacks. Every time we eat our pancreas produce insulin which is not good.
Here is the fasting recipe. I give Bob Rich all the credit for getting me started on this.
1 tablespoon of extra virgin (raw) coconut oil
¼ to ½ teaspoon of organic cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon green tea granules (I get it from Bob Rich)
½ cup whole milk (non-homogenized organic from grass fed cows). I buy it from whole foods. ‘Organic valley grassmilk’.
1 teaspoon of organic cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon)
1 organic egg yolk ( from pasture raised chickens)
Put the above in the blender along with 4 -6 oz. of brewed coffee (organic if available)
Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water during the day. Eat a 6 hundred calories dinner in the evening. I eat a big salad with lots of leafy greens. You can pick any two days in a row. I do it on Monday and Tuesday of every week.
